To bring in the new year, let's take a look into 2015 for The Cassie Paige
I lost my best friend. Dogs may only be pets to some people but Marble was my best friend. Just sitting here and thinking about him makes me miss him. He was in my life for almost 14 years and I lost him. He was getting old and sick and I knew he was suffering so I made a choice that was best for him. I miss him every day. But I know he's in a better place now watching over his new baby brother Berkeley.
With the loss of Marble, grew a new love for Berkeley. Marble will never be replaced in my heart, but Berkeley has a found a spot in my heart as well. Berkeley was a big compromise between me and Israel. I love dogs and could never see myself without one where as Israel, to him a dog is pet and will only be a pet. I see where he's coming from and he sees where I come from so him to give in and get a dog for us was a huge compromise for him that I will always be grateful for! We may not see eye to eye with everything in regards to Berkeley but we always find a way to work it out.
2015 marked 6 years together for us and with each year, we only become better. I'm glad to have found Israel and to have him in my life. He has brought out the best in me and always makes me strive to become a better person. Here's to another great year and more to come.
With every family comes ups and downs and that's no exception to mine. I figured out a lot about my family in 2015. Its hard to explain any person's family into words because really, no one has every experienced what you have with your family and no one will every understand the good or the bad. But I love my family none the less and I hope with every down we have, we only learn how to look forward to the ups and enjoy every minute of it.
Well 2015, you've been a real roller coaster for me. 2016, I hope you're a gooder for me!
