Having blonde hair for 6 years has had it's ups and downs. Especially when I had to dye my hair back to black in January!!! Trying to go back to blonde since then has been a rocky road! I first started dying my hair back in 2010, I started slow, having ginger like hair with blonde highlights and every 4-6 months going back to a salon trying to go blonder and blonder! I finally got to silver blonde and loved it! But when I went back to the salon waaaaay to soon, I was left almost blonde (being over dramatic) with such dry, dry, DRY hair. And since then, I've been trying super hard to get back there! I'm hoping by the time I get married, I'll have the prettiest silver hair! So I'm talking about my favourite silver hair products!

Kevin Murphy - Blonde Angel

I've been using this product for a few years now and I love it! It's the most pigmented purple shampoo and conditioner I've ever used! Not only that, it does not make my hair as dry as other products, like AG Sterling Silver! I've had my fair share of using purple shampoos and conditions and this has been the only brand I've kept coming back too!

With this conditioner, I usually live it in my hair over night, especially when I had silver and purple hair! It works wonders beyond wonders! When leaving it over night, it did leave a slight purple tinge in my hair when it was silver but having purple hair before that, it did not bother me one minute! If you're looking for the perfect shampoo and condition pair, this is the brand to go too!

Fanola - No Yellow

I recently just purchased this shampoo after watching tons of review on it. I had to buy it from Amazon as there were no Canadian retailers that sold it! It was great product for a hefty price though! On Amazon, with shipping, it cost me ~$100CAD. There were two sizes sold on Amazon, 350 mL for ~$80CAD and the 1000mL for ~$100CAD. I thought it was a better to pay the extra and get with money's worth!

In the review videos, it claimed that the shampoo would take out all the yellow from bleached/dyed hair! The videos showed the shampoo being washed and scrubbed into the hair and it becoming this super pretty platinum blonde. Well, I have it same, it's partially truth. My hair now, is an ashy dark silver with some dark yellowish/green in the parts that were hard to dye. For the parts that were ashy dark silver, it did wonders but for the yellowish/green parts, it doesn't do very much. I was hoping that the yellowish tone would have washed out a little more but my stubborn hair did not change. I won't say that I love this product but I'm hoping that when I dye my hair again and get that stubborn band in my hair out, I will try this again and maybe give it a better review.

Olaplaex No.3

If you haven't heard of olaplaex, then you've been living under a rock. When I was first introduced to this product, I couldn't believe how great it made my hair feel! It made my hair feel less brittle and thicker even though I was constantly bleaching it! The only thing it was lacking was shine! I was first under the impression that this was going to make my hair shinier and prettier but I just recently learnt that this actually helps put protein back into your hair after doing chemical damage to the hair! When I was first using this, I was disappointment at the results and was hoping to gain that shine from this! But since my new hair dresser told me the actual purpose, I'm actually really happy with this product! I'm pretty sure I would have been bold by now if I wasn't constantly using this in my hair! And thank god I kept buying it even though I was not happy with the results! This by far has probably been the biggest lifer saver for my hair and I'm so happy to have found it!

Have any of you used these products? What do you think? Let me know in the comments!

  1. I LOVE your hair! It's so pretty! I wish I was brave enough to color my hair again - it's been almost a decade since I've done anything drastic to it besides a cut lol. I've heard of Olaplex from a cosmetologist friend not too long ago, I'll have to keep that product in mind if I ever do decide to color my hair again. Great post! x
