"We are all born with a unique genetic blueprint, which lays out the basic characteristics of our personality as well as our physical health and appearance... And yet, we all know that life experiences do change us."

Basic

Lately my outfits have been getting more and more simpler. I started to notice when I was writing my last outfit post and only had to list 2 outfit pieces on what I was swearing. I'm used to listing at least 4 or 5. Maybe more so because I had to alway wear a coat in the winter. Or maybe because I am dressing more simpler?

When I first started blogging, I loved to wear accessories, especially House of Harlow necklaces! They are my absolute favourite, I think I own about 4 or 5 colours of the classic 5 Station Necklace! I would always wear my purse in photos, bracelets and watches but as of lately, I just haven't. It's not that I hate wearing it, I just don't want to take the time to decide what accessory will go with my outfit. And honestly, I've been dreading lugging around my purse. I usually just carry around my phone (which is bad because I dropped it and broke the screen on it!! That's the third time in less than a year!!) and my car keys!

Changes

Look back at my photos from when I started blogging, I used to always wear so much more. I had at least 1 bracelet, a watch and a necklace! And that was just the minimum! I would even wear a jacket in the summer if it made my outfit look more complete. It was just overkill. Or at least that feels like overkill now to me.

But maybe it's because I'm getting older and the simpler, the better. My style has definitely evolved since I started blogging. I feel like I dress more grown up and more classy but I feel like that also means being more simple. But that's just me and how I feel.

Just FYI, my skin colour of the close up pictures are pretty much how dark I got when I went to DR. I don't think you could really tell until these pictures... and my foundation as you can tell, is a little light for me. I'm too lazy to go colour. But it's not that bad in person.

  1. I've found the same thing has happened with my style as well since I've started blogging, now when I do my outfit posts I always think I'm wearing barely no pieces!
