Taste of Edmonton

So it may not look like I was at the Taste of Edmonton in these photos but I was ... I mean I wasn't in the middle of all the hustle and bustle but I was just outside. But I did want to talk about my experience and how much I loved how the new location at Capital Plaza and all the great food! And if you're wondering why I didn't do photos at the actual event - well it was just way TOO BUSY when we got there. Luckily for us, that wasn't even the busiest time of day and even luckier that it died down about 30 minutes of being there!

If you do plan on going and want to avoid the crowds, go late! They're open until 11PM the next couple nights!

  • LOT Thai Eatery ummmmmmmmm can I say that both items they had on their menu at the event were AMAZING?! We even went for seconds on their dessert item which was almost like a rice pudding but not! Definitely get the items from this tent
  • Zinc Their Pork & Sage Sausage on Soft Bun was amazing! It had this apple cinnamon punch to it that was just so mouth waterng!
  • The 3 Amigos I've heard hit and miss stories from here but I loved their tacos and churro. I'm already obsessed with churros, but their taccos had this spicy kick and it was to die for!
  • Miss Saigon I've eaten here previously and Israel always get their Phoritto but it was my first time actually trying it and it was amazing. It was pho wrapped up with a burrito and it was just amazing!

Ehh
  • Hawk Eye Their Wasabi Beef Bun was good but the only thing I didn't like about it was the bun! I just felt like the bun was too powdery for me!
  • Baba's Bistro I tried their perogies and they weren't bad but they just tasted like regular perogies to me! I'm not hating but I felt like I coulda went to the grocery store and boiled some up at home.

I shoulda tried a few other things but it was getting late and I didn't really want to spend any more money on tickets to eat at 10PM. But definitely check out the event. It's one of the best food events to go too!

  1. I had never heard of the "Taste of Edmonton" before. It sounds like they have a range of cuisines there and like you had a good time. I wonder if there is cuisine suitable for vegans and or vegetarians there?
Your black top from Aritzia and Zara red gingham frill shorts look pretty being worn together - cute outfit!
