"You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough. You find that being vulnerable is the only way to allow your heart to feel true pleasure that's so real it scares you. You find strength in knowing you have a true friend and possibly a soul mate who will remain loyal to the end. Life seems completely different, exciting and worthwhile."

Married

As the title suggests, Israel and I got married on November 14, 2016. Now, I know I mentioned before that we are getting married in the Dominician (or did I?!) but we decided to get legally married before we fly down to the Dominican in May, to make sure that our marriage was actually, legal! It only made sense to us to get married on our actual anniversary of when we started dating to make it easier for ourselves, so we jumped the gun and got married with our family in tow.

Family Only

I'm glad that Israel and I decided to make this short and sweet and just with our family because I cried. I tried to hold back my tears but I cried and I sobbed while reading my vows. It probably would have been even harder having a bigger crowd of people watching over us! I'm glad it was our family that got to witness our true feelings during this very special day. I'm hoping that when we do this the second time around, I won't cry! I am beyond glad though, that we got to share this very special moment in our lives with our family. It meant the world for us!

Being married doesn't seem to have changed Israel and I in any way. I just find it a little strange to now call Israel my husband. I couldn't even call him my fiance because I thought that sounded so weird! Now, just to do it all over again in May! At least this time, we'll be in a tropical place, with the sun, the ocean and such beautiful scenery! And we'll get to party and celebrate with all our family and closest friends!
