What's New with TCP

Life can be a bitch but sometimes you just gotta fly with it. This year started off a little rocky for me - work wise. I quit a job that I was totally unhappy at, to move somewhere I thought I would be happier. And don't get me wrong, it was a REALLY good decision for me and I'm glad to be out of a place I was very unhappy at, but my next job still wasn't somewhere I loved.

I found myself waking up and just dreading going to work. I felt like I was in a slump. I was constantly looking for jobs to see what was out there and just thinking what I would do. I felt like my life was just turned upside down and I was just unhappy. When we came back from DR, I knew I wanted a change. So I looked on Kijiji and applied for a job that was within my qualifications, went for an interview, landed the job - and now? I couldn't be happier. Don't get my wrong, it hasn't been very long since this change but I feel more welcomed and more appreciated with my skills and qualifications. And to have a place where your skills are appreciated makes going to work easier and leads to a happier and more positive outlook on everything.




Slumps

Sometimes you need to get into a slump to get out of a negative place. I felt like I was in a slump for so long. I don't even remember a time where I wasn't looking and applying to a million jobs in hopes of finding something! It's been years since I've felt satisfied. So here's hoping this feeling lasts because I honestly love where I am and what I'm doing. I know I can grow and learn more where I am and I can always ask for help and make mistakes without being punished.


Life is hard and sometimes you need to make a change to be happy. It's not always easy but it's the first step to getting out of a slump (and of course having the most loving husband to come home too - he makes all my work problems go away - always)!
